Nick Vujicic
Melbourne, Australia
Evangelist, international motivational speaker, and best-selling New York Times author Nick Vujicic was born in Melbourne, Australia, in 1982. Nick came into the world with neither arms nor legs. In his childhood Nick not only struggled with the typical struggles of school and adolescence, such as problems of bullying and self-esteem, but also faced depression and isolation as he wondered why he was different from all the other children.
Nick went to tertiary education after high school and obtained a double bachelor’s degree from Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia, with a major in accounting and financial planning. By the age of 19, Nick began pursuing his vision of inspiring others by giving speeches that revolved around his life story. Throughout his conditions he sought the reason for his life, and also the truth.
Nick eventually moved from Melbourne, Australia to Los Angeles, California, where he is the founder and president of Life Without Limbs, a multinational non-profit organization, running the motivational speaking business, Attitude Is Altitude. ⠀
Nick has travelled to over 57 countries since his first motivational-speaking engagement back when he was a teenager, sharing his experience with over 400 million people. Nick is the author of Life Without Limits, Unstoppable (a best-seller in the New York Times), Limitless, Stand Strong and Love Without Limits. His books have been translated into more than 30 different languages and have sold more than one million copies worldwide.
Nick’s story continues to resonate around the world, including on “CBS Sunday Morning,” “Oprah’s LifeClass,” “PBS Religion & Ethics News Weekly,” USA Today, “NewsMax,” “Life Today” and “The 700 Club,” and twice on “60 Minutes Australia.” Christianity Today magazine named him one of the “33 under 33” chapters of American faith.
