Ismail Darbar raised in Surat, Gujarat on 1st June 1964. He also composed music for several Telugu, and Kannada film industries. He has composed more than 100+ songs for Hindi films and albums.

Apart from the music industry, he also showed an interest in politics and joined the Bhartiya Janta Party in 2011. He mentioned his wish to participate in a political forum in Surat, his hometown. He praised Gujarat’s rapid progress and praised the Chief Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, for his visionary leadership at the time. Darbar reaffirmed his commitment to fighting for the nation’s good through the BJP, and that his meeting with the Chief Minister was one of the highlights of his life. In this field, he made his presence known as well.

Ismail Darbar began his career as a session violinist for well-known music directors. Anand-Milind, KalyanjiAnandji, BappiLahiri, LaxmikantPyarelal, Nadeem-Shravan, A. R. Rahman, and Jatin-Lalit were among his collaborators. His first project as a music director was for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film “Hum Dil De Chupke Sanam” (1999), which won the National Film Award for Best Music Direction and the Filmfare RD Burman Award for New Music Talent, as well as being nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Music Director. Each song’s musical feet simply strike the chords of our hearts. When he provided the musical histories for films like these, his name was a big hit. He then went on to compose music for Devdas (2002) and gained huge acclaim once again for a Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial venture. Ismail won the Screen Award for Best Music Director and was nominated for a Film fare Award for Best Music Director.
